Rabbits

I've kept rabbits since I was 6yrs old and they can make great pets. They can be loving (there are some vicious bunnies - I have one myself, but they are rare) and live for between four and ten years. I feed mine fresh vegetables in the morning and a complete rabbit mix and hay in the evening and they seem to do well on this. Bunnies hate being cooped up in a hutch all day so if you're going to have one then make sure you have the time to let him/her out in the yard or garden for a run, but keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't eat anything that might make him ill.

If brought up together from an early age then females will live happily together but males usually end up fighting. A mixture of both will ,of course, result in a population explosion!

Most of mine are dwarf lops - which are only dwarves in the sense that they are smaller than the French and English lops - but I also have a few 'mongrels' and some Netherland dwarfs.
